Completion of this course fulfills the training requirements for a Minnesota Permit to Carry a Handgun, valid in twenty-seven states. It also fulfills the training requirement for a Florida Permit which adds an additional seven states.This is a basic course for men and women with little or no experience with firearms, as well as for more experienced shooters. It includes explanations of ammunition function and nomencalture, differences in various types of handguns, legal aspects of possessing and using firearms, and the practical application of use for force laws. Also included are many entertaining, real-world examples and stories. The live fire shooting exercise includes one-on-one coaching. Handguns and ammunition are provided. An enclosed, heated shelter is provided for shooting in inclement weather. Instructor is a retired Law Enforcement Officer, Police Firearms Instructor and Master Class shooting competitor. ** You may wish to pack a lunch.
