Enjoy the colorful days of fall as you relax on our trip to Galena, Illinois! Galena was a popular, bustling destination in the early 1800's and was the home of Ulysses S. Grant. Today's travelers to northwestern Illinois find treasures in the area's art galleries and studios, local shops and wineries, and enjoying the natural beauty of the rolling hills and gentle valleys. There will be time on your own to shop, dine and take in all of the activities Galena has to offer during their annual Country Fair. We will also take a quick stop along the way to visit the famous Grotto in Dickeyville! Registrations are due by September 27. No refunds after September 27. We will leave from Winona Middle School parking lot by 8:00 a.m. and return by 9:00 p.m. An itinerary will be sent to you approximately 1 week prior to the trip with specifics.
