Completion of this course fulfills the training requirements for a Minnesota Permit to Carry a Handgun. It also fulfills the training requirements for Wisconsin, Iowa and Florida Permits at no additional cost. The Minnesota Permit is honored in 26 other states and the Florida permit is honored in an additional 7 states. This is a basic course for men and women with little or no experience with firearms, as well as for more experienced shooters. Primary emphasis is on safety, but also included are explanations of ammunition, different types of handgun actions and functions, legal aspects,practical application of laws, and basic marksmanship, complete with many interesting and amusing real world examples and stories. Also included is a live fire exercise on the range. Handguns, including ammo, are available at no additional cost for those who do not yet have their own. If using your own handgun you will need 20 rounds of ammo. the instructor is a retired Law Enforcement Officer, Police Firearms Instructor and Master Class shooting competitor. Questions?
